It's the most amazing fabulous sensational gum in the whole world

Well I guess I'm not very good at keeping up at this whole blog thing. But today's Saturday and I can waste some time posting. Mattie is sleeping and having little doggie dreams where her paws twitch and she makes little barking noises. So frickin cute.

Kelsey and I had a little party last night. Two words: jello shots. haha. It wasn't that crazy (that was Thursday night...right Kelsey?) I invited some people who SAID they were going to show up but did not. Even after a facebook confirmation and me reminding them. I guess I know who my real friends are. But once it was Kelsey, Jacob, Whitney and I, I broke out the Colorku game. What a hit! I pretty sure Jacob wanted to throw it against the wall. But we solved it! We are a smart bunch of kids.

Mattie just got up and slloowly went to lay down in my doorway. Why does she do that? Maybe so she doesn't miss anything. And why doesn't a post go by without mention of my dear Matilda? I just wuv her that much, and she's a great distraction.

ok. Well I plan to stay more updated. Sorry for those who check my blog everyday (Hanna) and are met with disapointment. I will get better.

Impossible, my dear lady. That's absurd. Unthinkable.

What is unthinkable? That people are having money problems? Good golly. I had no idea. But really, a lot of us should be thankful that our providers and loved ones are doing well under the circumstances. I just find myself running out of money month after month. I don't understand it. Well I do. I spend it. But I don't buy luxuries (maybe a $1 nail polish here and there) which is annoying because I do love the unnecessary things. Who doesn't? Groceries are SO expensive. I'll just leave it at that, because I feel everyone is feeling that pressure. But going out and being social (which is a struggle already for me) is another financial burden. Well I shouldn't use the word burden because it is fun to go out. But it is something I have to factor into my monthly costs. The little things too (that I don't steal from my parents) add up, like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, soap to bath myself with. OH and having a COLD this month doesn't help: cough medicine, day/night quil, cough drops, Kleenex, etc. It seems like a simple solution: you are running out of money, why don't you get a job? Good point. However, I think at this point in the semester and in my life having a job at school would put too much pressure on me. Yes there are times when I get bored (like now) in between classes but I know how much I can take and this is about it, sadly.
I wish I was stronger. I wish I was like Kelsey sometimes who can just work and work and work until she's dead. Maybe she isn't the most healthiest example because she really needs to take a break once and a while, but she is someone who I see as an example of a really hard worker. That said and my rant over I hope everyone enjoyed wasting their time reading this and thinks about what they should send me at school.

The most amazing fabulous sensational gum in the whole world

Haven't done much this week, but I thought I should post something. We started having production meetings for Jack and the Beanstalk. And my original plans have been changed a bit but not to the point where it really bothers me. The only qualm I have is that the ones in charge seem more concerned on what the director thinks of the changes and not how I feel. I am getting nervous that things are actually happening. All last semester it was what ifs and theoretical ideas and now I need to finish my construction drawings so the shop can get to work.

Did my laundry today. Oh, I went to the Co-op a couple of days ago and got some Annie's organic food and some unsulfured dried fruit! It was exciting to buy food there.

I just did my nails and put cuticle oil on and now my keyboard is getting a little greasy.

Kelsey is gone this weekend so I don't really know what I'm going to do. Hopefully Rochelle calls me tonight. Tomorrow I plan on going to the print studio and getting some colors down on my first print and play some piano. It takes me about an hour now to do a chapter so hopefully I can crank one out.

Mattie has been good. She now is sleeping on the couch when I'm gone and I hear her jump off when I open the door. Silly pup. We love that it is warmer out! Our afternoon walks have become longer and longer. Mattie needs to build up her endurance from all those short winter walks!

You should never, never doubt what nobody is sure about

Ugh. I've had such a bad day. No one in the academic field has any confidence in me. It is very discouraging.

In this blog atmosphere I think I will have a hard time keeping track of what I should keep personal and what I should feel is appropriate to publish. I want this to be a personal update of my life but I don't any feelings to get hurt or exploit myself and later regret it. hmm...boundaries and limits two of my best qualities.

I still feel alone at school. And this is no one's fault but my own. If I could only reach out. There always seems to be something blocking me.

At times like this I like to listen to some good music and sing a long. But then I get really self conscious because I've always wished I was a better singer. I know people say, "oh I wish I could sing". But this is something I have wished since I was little girl. (exploitation number 1 lol) But I shouldn't let that stop me from singing (opposed to sinning which I accidentally wrote)
my heart out!

That's all for today. Mattie didn't poop today. I expect a special gift for me in the morning! TMI? Maybe for most, but it's an everyday topic for me. Deal.

So much time and so little to do. Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it.

I'm really excited to be in my screen printmaking class. For one it will be a lot less labor intensive than my first print class and second we get to use at the least 6 colors versus shades of black. So far all we have done is build our frames and seen demos on how to print. And every time the professor is showing us something I am afraid to get my hopes up because my possible faulty screen. Why might it be faulty you ask? Well we as art major/minors get the opportunity to make our own screen frames to take with us for future printing adventures, so last week we were at the task of putting these said frames together. Once the time came to stretch the screen over the frame we had to find a partner to help the other out and my ONLY friend in that class chose this guy (who happened to be our previous nude model from last semester) to be her stretching partner instead of me. RUDE. I look around and suppose this other girl from my drawing will be nice enough to be my partner. Note that this girl is all of 90 lbs and has maybe uttered 5 words to me. OH AND has talon like nails. So from the get go the future does not seem good and to make this story shorter she did a CRAP JOB at stretching my screen. The professor was like, "hmmm yeah I'm not sure this is going to work". Because you can't have a loose screen or your image will be moving around the place. And it's not like I can just take the screen off and do it again, I will probably need to go buy a new for like 30 dollars. All because of this girl! I can't even look at her. I should go poke a hole her perfectly taut screen.

This is how I feel about that situation.

I'm going home this weekend and hopefully will get all the things done that I need to do. I need to do a Dick Blick run! Be prepared mom!

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries

Look at that face!

I love having my Mattie here at school. I think sometimes she can be a distraction but she definitely make life better! She also helps keep me on schedule because I know she needs to go out and feel bad if she has to wait. She helps me get up at the same time in the morning (even if I do go back to sleep) and we go out in the afternoon and evening. It will get even better when the weather gets nicer and we can walk into town. But this morning I had a taste of what spring is going to bring with squirrels and how Mattie will behave. It will be a challenge because I can't have her barking but her need to control those rascally squirrels overrides anything I do or say.

I think mom will get a kick out of this. Even though Mattie has her own bed and space she insists on laying right behind my computer chair or right at the edge of my bed whenever I'm in those areas. So whenever I get up or make as if I'm going to move she has to get up to make sure I don't step on her. Silly pup.

Anyway. I ate some peanut butter today and now my mouth is all spicy. I think someone (Kelsey) spiked my peanut butter jar with chili powder.

The first installment

Here is the premiere of my blog! I figure I should jump on the bandwagon with my mother and sister. However I don't know what exactly I'll write about seeing as my life is pretty boring at school at the moment. I hope to get a good number of Mattie photos up, those are always a hit. I should capture pictures of Morris too since this is my last semester I will need to savor the memories, good and bad.

I figured out today that my e-mail account at school has been giving lagging one week behind today's date! So I went to the main university account to retrieve all the e-mails (some important) I have missed.

I hope Kelsey starts her blog as well. We talked about the idea tonight and I suggested that we have a contest to see how many hits we get on our blog or comments. hehe.

That is all for now! Thanks for viewing!
