So much time and so little to do. Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it.

I'm really excited to be in my screen printmaking class. For one it will be a lot less labor intensive than my first print class and second we get to use at the least 6 colors versus shades of black. So far all we have done is build our frames and seen demos on how to print. And every time the professor is showing us something I am afraid to get my hopes up because my possible faulty screen. Why might it be faulty you ask? Well we as art major/minors get the opportunity to make our own screen frames to take with us for future printing adventures, so last week we were at the task of putting these said frames together. Once the time came to stretch the screen over the frame we had to find a partner to help the other out and my ONLY friend in that class chose this guy (who happened to be our previous nude model from last semester) to be her stretching partner instead of me. RUDE. I look around and suppose this other girl from my drawing will be nice enough to be my partner. Note that this girl is all of 90 lbs and has maybe uttered 5 words to me. OH AND has talon like nails. So from the get go the future does not seem good and to make this story shorter she did a CRAP JOB at stretching my screen. The professor was like, "hmmm yeah I'm not sure this is going to work". Because you can't have a loose screen or your image will be moving around the place. And it's not like I can just take the screen off and do it again, I will probably need to go buy a new for like 30 dollars. All because of this girl! I can't even look at her. I should go poke a hole her perfectly taut screen.

This is how I feel about that situation.

I'm going home this weekend and hopefully will get all the things done that I need to do. I need to do a Dick Blick run! Be prepared mom!

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries

Look at that face!

I love having my Mattie here at school. I think sometimes she can be a distraction but she definitely make life better! She also helps keep me on schedule because I know she needs to go out and feel bad if she has to wait. She helps me get up at the same time in the morning (even if I do go back to sleep) and we go out in the afternoon and evening. It will get even better when the weather gets nicer and we can walk into town. But this morning I had a taste of what spring is going to bring with squirrels and how Mattie will behave. It will be a challenge because I can't have her barking but her need to control those rascally squirrels overrides anything I do or say.

I think mom will get a kick out of this. Even though Mattie has her own bed and space she insists on laying right behind my computer chair or right at the edge of my bed whenever I'm in those areas. So whenever I get up or make as if I'm going to move she has to get up to make sure I don't step on her. Silly pup.

Anyway. I ate some peanut butter today and now my mouth is all spicy. I think someone (Kelsey) spiked my peanut butter jar with chili powder.

The first installment

Here is the premiere of my blog! I figure I should jump on the bandwagon with my mother and sister. However I don't know what exactly I'll write about seeing as my life is pretty boring at school at the moment. I hope to get a good number of Mattie photos up, those are always a hit. I should capture pictures of Morris too since this is my last semester I will need to savor the memories, good and bad.

I figured out today that my e-mail account at school has been giving lagging one week behind today's date! So I went to the main university account to retrieve all the e-mails (some important) I have missed.

I hope Kelsey starts her blog as well. We talked about the idea tonight and I suggested that we have a contest to see how many hits we get on our blog or comments. hehe.

That is all for now! Thanks for viewing!
